All, happy Saturday! I’m getting ready to fire up CODM this morning after I get done some of my to-dos. I schedule my day around 4 primary contexts: Physical (exercise, eating, sleeping, water intake), Mental (Learning, Reading, Writing), Social (Blogging, social media, etc.), and Spiritual (Spiritual exercises, reading, journaling). The rest of my day is gaming.

CODM’s new battle pass is awesome. They’ve brought back Zombies. They have some Halloween-themed maps and some great challenges. I was surprised they didn’t do anything for the Battle Royal side of things, but that’s ok.

APEX has a new legend called ASH. She has some great powers and I’m working on attaining her tier 3 battle powers. I’m up to Gold II. This season reset ranking, so I’m back at it. The goal this season is to get to Master level. I’m still learning the game, and also learning the new map system which is called World’s Edge. This is the map that was console only, prior to this season, but this time around, they are rotating between the maps they always used in mobile and World’s Edge. It’s cool. King’s Canyon is also cool. I like all the neat things World’s Edge has. They have trains, flying supply boxes, a vault, if you get a vault key, and all kinds of neat terrain–even lava, which will burn your character.

PUBG has also started a new battle pass and have specific areas on the map that are denoted by a jack-o-lantern. These areas are high-quality loot areas and also very busy with players looking to kill you while you are hunting around for weapons, scopes, and healing stuff. I’m still learning the best strategy for this game. I’m currently diamond level and working toward the next level in the rank progression.

Well, that’s it for now, folks. Have a great Saturday.

Oh! If any of you are interested in playing some games, reach out to me on any of these games. My character’s name is ieatbullets63. Once I’m done with a class on discord, I’ll be creating a server for gaming, where people can join my server and find people to play with. Finding good people to play with is really important if you are going to achieve the higher ranks. Playing with “randos” will not work. By having a server dedicated to my gaming, I’ll be accessible to everyone, regardless of what game(s) I’m playing. Well, that’s it for now, folks!

Happy Gaming!

APEX, Birthday, CODM, Crypto, Diamond Camo, M16, Senior Gamers, Zombies

All, It’s my birthday today. I’m 59 years old.

To celebrate, I’ll be gaming all day long. It’ll be a great day. The family is taking me out to dinner tonight. I’ll be playing APEX and CODM. I’m working on my final character Crypto to get his tier 3 perks. In CODM, I’m working on getting diamond camo for the M16 and working through the battle pass for both primary game play and Zombies, which they just brought back for Halloween month.

Hopefully my age will motivate other senior gamers to get into the mix. You’re never too old to play some great games and there are so many. Have a great gaming Saturday, folks!

Until next time…

Here’s another spooky tidbit. This is part of my Halloween theme for the month of October.

I hope you enjoyed this one. I found it interesting and did not realize how zombies became part of the movies way back when.

Have a great Tuesday, folks!

Until next time…

Aiming, Apex Legends, Battle Royal, Challenges, CODM, PUBG, TTK, Zombies

CODM came out with a few challenges this week and brought back Zombies for a bit. These challenges drop the new melee weapon the Butterfly Knife. There’s another challenge also that will last for some time. It’s the seasonal challenge and you have to grind a lot to get the points to move through various clues, collecting them on the way.

I tried out Apex Legends and PUBG this week. My initial thoughts. Apex is fun. It has some great graphics, the legendary characters are a blast (my favorite is Loba). They have both Battle Royal ranked and unranked and they have team deathmatch. I am playing ranked because I enjoy the competition and the ability to increase my rank, which is ordered by color. You start at Iron and work your way up.

PUBG is a little clunky and I still have a lot to learn, but it’s fun. Between the three the time-to-kill (TTK) is high in PUBG, Medium level in CODM, and low in Apex Legends. Your aiming has to improve the slower the TTK. I started out unranked in both APEX and PUBG, but moved to ranked once I got the swing of things.

If you’re looking to mix it up a bit, but still enjoy Battle Royal, try these out. You may like them or not. For me, I’ll always be a CODM fan, but APEX and PUBG are also really fun to play and will improve your game play in CODM, just because you have to learn different skills in both of these games that will contribute to your BR and Multiplayer play in CODM.

Try them out. They’re both free and they’re both mobile.

Happy Gaming!

Season 3 of Call of Duty is a real kick! There have been some great challenges, my quest for diamond camouflage continues, and there will be more to come. Ahh, gaming is my passion, and this game never disappoints. They’ve continued Zombies indefinitely, which is awesome!

My reading of The Destroyer Series continues. I’m on book 36. It’s called Power Play and it is another great read. I won’t ruin it for anyone, but it’s a terrific series to read. I’m going to focus my reading on this fiction series for the near future.

My sister and I just started Season 4 of the Sopranos. Boy is this show getting good. It is so creative how the tension in series like this, Breaking Bad, and others are woven together. I am really enjoying it. We haven’t decided what we’re going to watch next, but I think it’s going to be Game of Thrones. Believe it or not, my sister has not seen this show, except for a few episodes. Crazy, right?

Well, that’s it for this week. If you know of any great shows, video games, or books to read, drop me a note. I’m always open to new ideas.

Have a great Thursday, folks!

Until next time…

Well, folks, my sister and I finally finished Breaking Bad. It was a great ending. They did a great job tying up all the loose ends in the plot. After completing Breaking Bad, we had to watch El Camino, so we could close the book on Jesse Pinkman. After finishing up with these two, we moved onto Viking Valhalla. It is only one season, but it looked interesting and it was. We only watched one episode. Tonight we’ll watch some more.

The book I’m reading is part of The Destroyer series. It’s called Last Call. I won’t give any spoilers, in case you want to check this series out. All very entertaining books and each story is unique and full of twists, action, and even has some funny parts.

Season 3 of Call of Duty Mobile started and so is the World Championship. I just played through my first 10 games to try out for the Championship, but fell 4 points shy of qualifying. Wish me luck! I’ve got three more weekends to try and hit 60 points to qualify for stage 2! Anyway, new weapons, new characters, and new challenges await. I love this game!!

I’m still working on Diamond Camouflage for the Nunchucks, XPR-50 Sniper Rifle, Cordite Submachine Gun, SMRS Launcher, M4 Light Machine Gun, Type 25 Assault Rifle, Echo Shotgun, and SP-R 208 Tactical Rifle. It’s great fun. There is a new Battle Royal Challenge as CODM has relaunched Alcatraz this season. Then there is Zombies!! I’ll get a little more consistent with Zombies this season!

I hope all of you are having a terrific Thursday. For some reason when I woke up today, I thought it was Friday. Get ready for tomorrow. It’s April Fools Day.

Until next time…

Daily Ramblings – Hobbies, Games, and Movies – House of Cards, CODM, and Voodoo Die

Birthday, Call of Duty Mobile, Dad, Dementia, Hard Hat, House of Cards, Voodoo Die, Zombies

Hello, all! It’s another edition of Hobbies, Games, and Movies!

My sister and I are almost at the end of The House of Cards. We are in Season 5. Both of us were not fans of Season 6, so we’ll be ending this series when we’ve finished Season 5. There are a few options for our next show. I think we’re going to start Breaking Bad.

I’m reading book 33 of the The Destroyer series. It’s called Voodoo Die. Like the other books in this series, it is filled with action, comedy, and suspense. I won’t give any spoilers, but if you like a fast-paced story, these books do not disappoint.

Call of Duty Mobile, Season 2 kicked off last week. It’s been a great season so far. A new shotgun, new submachine gun, and light machine gun were introduced. It also has Zombies in the game, as well as a new Battle Royale. I’m currently working on Diamond camouflage for multiple weapons. One terrific edition is a new map, called Hard Hat. It is a construction site, with some very interesting characteristics.

Today, is my Dad’s birthday. He is 83. As I have mentioned in previous postings, he is suffering from Dementia. He was lucid today and got all of his birthday cards. I’m glad he’s still around. Here’s to another year with Dad!

Well, that’s it for today, folks. I hope you have a great Thursday!

Until next time…

Breaking Bad, Call of Duty, CODM, Diamond Camo, House of Cards, Remo Williams, The Destroyer, Zombies

My sister and I are in season 3 of House of Cards. Man, I forgot how intense this show is. So much going on. Multiple story and character threads. Wow! If you have not watched this show yet, watch it. It is a terrific show, with great writing and a great cast. The final season is the only thing I do not recommend. We will not be watching it this time around. It is just bad.

In Call of Duty Mobile, I’m playing Zombies, working on Diamond camo on most weapons, Gold on some launchers, and that’s it. I discovered that some games within CODM are more efficient for getting the achievements for Diamond Camo. Hardpoint seems to be the game, since you can get a lot of kills while teams fight over various points on the map for dominance. Team Deathmatch, Frontline, and Kill Confirmed are fun, but don’t last long enough to work on Diamond camo for certain weapons, like the Crossbow. The Crossbow is fun to play, but so frustrating. It’s reload time is long, and aiming down sights is almost as slow as most of the sniper rifles. It’s tough, but I am making progress.

The Destroyer series is terrific. It’s interesting when you visit Goodreads or Amazon. There is always one reader who consistently gives the series a 1 or 2 star rating. The question I have: Why do you keep reading when you dislike the books? It doesn’t make any sense to me.

When we are done with House of Cards, my sister and I are going to watch Breaking Bad next. I’ve seen the whole show, but she has not. It’ll be a great time, because the series is really well done.

That’s it for this week’s edition. Have a great Thursday, folks!

Until next time…

Dave
