Today is Memorial Day. It is a day in the United States that we honor the fallen—those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. We also honor those families who lost someone serving the country.
So today, I thank all veterans and their families for their sacrifices to America—you will never be forgotten.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
We are not makers of history. We are made by history.
In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
In honor of Black History Month (Feb 1 – Mar 1 2021) I’ll be selecting quotes from memorable figures that should be remembered for the work they did to gain their civil rights during a dark period of our history.
