If you are serious about gaming, this suggestion is a no-brainer. Watch YouTube. Regardless of the gaming genre or the game you like to play, there is always someone who is producing content for that game. So today, I’ll give you highlight some streamers I watch to improve my game play.

The two mobile games I’m playing are Call of Duty Mobile (CODM) and Diablo Immortal. I haven’t found a favorite streamer yet, but these are a few that passed on some great tips. One huge tip I learned yesterday watching some streams was the importance of focus and patience. Focus means you are building one aspect of your Diablo character, particularly the gems. When you are all over the place you won’t have the strongest character you need, when you begin progressing to higher levels of game play.

In Diablo, for example, there are different levels of game play that allow you to fight higher-level enemies and get better loot. These levels are normal, Hell I, Hell II, and so on. If you get to Hell III, like I am currently, but do not have gems and other gear built up, you’ll get crushed when it comes to running around the world. The creatures are going to be too tough and it’ll be frustrating.

On to the videos. This first one will be a streamer for CODM. He passes along strategies that will preserve your ammo, keep you alive longer, and hopefully become a better player.

YouTube Streamer Kith

Here’s one for Diablo Immortal. It’s a great video to watch if you’re just starting out.

Provided by YouTube streamer Ryhkker

So that’s it for today. YouTube is a great resource for gamers and you’ll always find one or more streamers who you’ll enjoy watching. Once you’ve learned something, apply it. Get into your game, try out the strategy that is suggested and see if it works for you.

Happy Gaming!

CODM, Diablo Immortal, Legendary status, Mobile gaming, Tricks, video gaming, Weapon Camouflage, YouTube

Howdy, folks! I decided to break away my gaming from my Thursday posts and create an entirely different posting since it could easily take over an entire posting by itself. My hope for this weekly blog posting is to provide tips and tricks, introduce you to some live streamers I follow, and give you some inside strategies that have worked for me to attain legendary status in both Battle Royal (Ranked) and Multiplayer (Ranked). I’m also passionate about weapon camouflages and leveling them up.

I just finished getting diamond camouflage for all of the SMGs. Now I have three Shotguns left, two Sniper Rifles, the new L-CAR pistol, and a whole truckload of Assault Rifles. In future issues, I’ll walk you through the camouflage process to Gold, how to get Damascus, Dark Aether, Platinum, and how to get some seasonal camouflages only available in tournaments.

I’ll also be offering some advice on Diablo Immortal, along the same lines as CODM. I’m not a veteran of Diablo, but I do love well-written role-playing games (RPG) and will share what I’ve learned so far.

Well, that’s it for today, folks. If you are excited about my content offering, please tell your gamer friends. I’m retired so I have a lot of time to dedicate to this hobby. I am learning new things each day and will encapsulate these findings each week, right here. See you again, next week.

Until next time…

CODM, Dark Time, Discord, Gaming, Learning, Reading, Reddit, Season 6, The West Wing, Watching

Call of Duty Mobile start season 6 today. There are new guns, the KSP-45 and L-Car. A submachine gun and machine pistol respectively. I completed the challenge last night for the L-Car and got the KSP-45 as part of the season’s battle pass. We’ve got a new map, new weapons, new character skins, and all kinds of challenges coming up. Oh, and did I mention they are adding jet aircraft to battle royale? HA!!! It’s going to be great fun!

For those of you doing the “Too Close for Comfort” Challenge, there is a slight glitch in the task list. The task of using The Purifier flamethrower 5 times wouldn’t work when I first started playing it. The key is to use the generic version of the Purifier, not the H20 version or even using a camouflage. You need to use the plain, generic Purifier and the task will count the games you use. This threw me for a bit, but I visited Reddit and the solution was there. I’d also like to pass on my thanks to CODM’s folks on their Discord channel. They directed me to Reddit, updated me that the glitch was fixed, and were terrific.

I’m reading Star Carrier: Dark Time. It’s a great read so far. I’m also reading my bible daily. I love a good story. Reading is what I call one of my “critical tasks” because it keeps the creative juices flowing. Each time you read, you are invoking your inner creativity, so that the scenes, characters, and story come alive. At least that’s what I do. I truly enjoy the escape that reading provides.

My sister and I are still watching season 2 of The West Wing. She’s been busy lately with her friends, going out and such, so we haven’t watched too much this week, but that’s ok. I’ve watched the entire show about 9 times. I just love this show. This time around, since it is no longer on Netflix, I am buying each season as we go, just like I did with The Sopranos. For those shows I really enjoy, I buy them, so I always have access to them everywhere. I don’t buy DVDs anymore. I really try to minimize the things I own, because there’s nothing like having access to everything I need digitally. I joke from time-to-time that I can literally survive with what’s in a backpack.

I’m watching a great documentary on the Civil War on Amazon Prime. I’m also continuing my studies on Udemy. This week I learned about the Index() and Match() functions. Today, the instructor is going to use both to show how powerful a combination these two functions are in Excel. I enjoy learning something new each day. It’s a real rush when you learn something you didn’t know the day before.

Well, that’s it for this week’s installment of gaming, reading, watching, and learning. I hope you all enjoy this posting. I’m thinking of separating gaming into a separate day, like Saturday, but haven’t decided yet. What do you think? Put your comments in the section below. I’ll listen.

Until next time…

Daily Ramblings – Motivation Monday – Little Things Add up to Big Things

I’m a little wiped today, as I ground the last few days on CODM to attain Legendary status in ranked play. I got it last night, after a week worth of heavy game play. Grinding by the way, is a term in gaming for playing and playing and playing until you reach a goal. I grind to get diamond camo and I grind to get Legendary. I still have 3 days to get Legendary again in Battle Royale and knock out the season’s last challenge.

The reason I ended up grinding the last few days to get Legendary status in CODM is because I did not plan out the season well. I only had 6 days left in the season when I started, and now I’m down to two days to finish out the Battle Royale. So, what’s the lesson. It would be much easier moving through a single rank area in the progression than trying to do multiple levels in a short period of time.

It’s easier to get in shape if you work out each day. It’s easier reading 50+ books a year if you read a little each day. It’s easier to write a book if you write a little each day. This little consistent actions each day will be bring Big results. Subsequently, when season 6 starts in 2 days, it’ll be working on both Battle Royal and Ranked Multiplayer each day to attain Legendary status in both within the first few weeks. This will be much less stressful, and a heck of a lot more enjoyable. I do not want to do this again.

So, if there’s a goal you have, like reading so many books, posting so many blog posts, or working on a book, do a little each day. These little actions build momentum, build habits, and make attaining big results easy–almost subconsciously. Once you learn this anything is within reach.

Well, that’s it for today.

Have a great Monday, folks!

Until next time…

Amazon Prime, Call of Duty, Civil War, CODM, Dark Time, Diablo Immortal, Grand Master, Ian Douglas, Star Carrier Series, The West Wing, Udemy

The Call of Duty Mobile saga continues. I am currently at the Grand Master level in both Battle Royal and Multiplayer and have a few more levels before I hit legendary. It’s a real grind. For those of you who do not know what grind means in this context, it is the literally playing and playing and playing until your objectives have been met. I grind to get ranked and I grind to get my diamond camouflages for my weapons.

I have also started a game called Diablo Immortal. Boy, that is a great game. All kinds of things to do, all kinds of weapons, gear, gems, and gold to collect. I am really enjoying the Role Playing Game (RPG) genre again. These guys at Blizzard really know how to create great games.

I’m started reading Dark Time, another book in the Star Carrier series. It’s another great read so far. The way Ian Douglas writes is terrific. The characters are awesome. The weapons and military craft descriptions are the best. I highly recommend this series if you are a SF fan.

My sister and I are in season 2 of The West Wing. It’s terrific. I never grow tired of The West Wing. The characters are so terrific! Sam, Toby, Josh, Donna, CJ Craig, Danny, President Bartlet and Leo are terrific. I won’t give away any spoilers, in case any of you are interested. The entire show is on Amazon Prime Video, but you’ll have to pay. It’s about $25 US per season.

I’m watching a new documentary on the Civil War and continuing with my Excel class on Udemy. Yesterday I learned about HLOOKUP. Today it will be INDEX(). I enjoy this class because of the short session lengths and the easy example files to work with.

Have a great Thursday, folks!

Until next time…

Happy Thursday, folks!

Season 5 of CODM is upon us. They have loaded up some new challenges, updated rewards and goodies for completing them, and I am continuing to work on Diamond Camouflage for weapons. The Clan Battle has started up again, where specific games are set up for clans to compete. It’s all great fun! To make this easier to understand, I’ll begin uploading photos next week of various screen shots within the CODM portal.

I’m still reading the Star Carrier Series. The story so far has our hero locked in battle with a new alien enemy known as the G’rdock. It’s a crazy story so far.

I started watching Total War WW2 on Amazon. It’s a new take on WW2 that covers themes of things, instead of battles, like normal documentaries. Topics like mobilization, the aerial war, and other topics. It’s great!

My sister and I finished Better Call Saul. Season 6 doesn’t come to Netflix until July, so we moved over to one of my favorite television series–The West Wing. I just bought season 1. It’s been a great ride so far.

I’m still in the MS Excel course offered by Udemy. This week we are learning about conditional statements, like IF functions. It’s terrific to learn about all these things I did not know and it will make me more proficient when I begin creating better spreadsheets that will help me be more organized and efficient in both my work and my personal life.

Well, that’s it, folks.

Have a great Thursday!

Until next time…

I changed the title of today’s posting, because it failed to capture what I wanted to cover in Thursday’s posting. So, it is now what you see.

Season 3 of 2022 has started in Call of Duty Mobile (CODM). It is so exciting to start a new season. We have a bunch of new challenges, new characters, a new comic strip that encompasses the theme of this season (The Jungle), and it will be offering a new map, new weapons to camo up, and a continuing tournament from last season. I’m currently finishing up a submachine gun, then I’m going to shoot for Legendary status in both ranked multiplayer and battle royale. I’m stoked. It started yesterday. I played a bit, but my sister and I are still working through Better Call Saul and I take a break from that.

I also have a bit of great news. My sleep schedule has finally normalized. I’m back to midnight to 7 AM. I think it may have had to do with getting back to the gym and getting back on track with a steady workout routine. I don’t know what it is about going to the gym, but my workouts are so much better in the gym, than they are in my home. Now that COVID poses a little less of a threat, I have started hitting the gym again and it’s great!

The Star Carrier series is what I’m currently reading. Earth is in a civil war, and there are two groups of aliens that are threatening her. The crew of the America (which is the key ship in the series), is headed off to meet one of these alien groups head on, and it will be exciting to see what happens. I won’t give you more than that, but wow, what a ride!

What am I watching? I’m watching a series on Amazon Prime called Total War WW2 and my sister and I are still plugging through Season 5 of Better Call Saul. For those of you who are interested, Stranger Things season 4 has just hit Netflix. My sister is not a fan, so I’ll be solo watching that one. I’ve watched all of them and love the show.

My learning is dedicated to becoming better with MS Excel. The course I’m taking is terrific. I cannot tell you how much I did not know about Excel before taking this course. Wow! It is great. We are working through connecting multiple sheets and consolidating data using the consolidation tool in MS Excel. Again, this is a tool I never knew existed.

Well, that’s it for today. I hope all of you have a terrific Thursday!

Until next time…

Well, my sister and I are in season 3 of Better Call Saul. What a great series. I think it is so good because we watched Breaking Bad first. No spoilers, but the back stories on some of the characters in Better Call Saul is awesome!

CODM is still a blast. I got to Grandmaster in Ranked play and hope to get to legendary this year. All kinds of challenges this season and some unique events that have been an absolute blast to play. I’m still grinding weapon camos for the most part. It’s tedious at times, but there is such a large variety of weapons, it’s fun to really learn a weapon as I work through diamond camo.

I’m reading another book in the Star Carrier series. It’s a page turner. I like this guy’s style of writing, and the plot is awesome.

Well, that’s all for today, folks. I hope you have a great one!

Until next time…

Better Call Saul, Call of Duty, CODM, Curiosity Stream, Remo Williams, Secret Societies, The Destroyer Series

Well, here we are, folks! I changed my title to include books in the description, since I give you an update on my reading of the Remo Williams series I’ve been captivated with. Bay City Blast is the latest title, and again, a funny, exciting, and engrossing story. These books are relatively short, but always provide an entertaining read.

We started Better Call Saul and we both love it. The backstories of the original Breaking Bad crew is awesome. That’s all I’ll say, because I don’t want to ruin it for anyone. If you liked Breaking Bad, you’ll like this. It has a different flavor, but is funny, sad, and all the rest.

I’m a little disappointed with Call of Duty. The stage 3 tournament will probably not happen for me. The key is to know people and build a team before the event. There is still time available to do that, but the mechanism they are using in-game and on their Discord channel is not very intuitive. So, lesson learned. It’s time to build some relationships so next year I can compete as far as I want, without going through this turmoil. That being said, it is a great season so far, with a new character–an Egyptian! The theme is in the desert and there is an actual sand storm on the Battle Royal map. Wow! They’ve also started a tournament game, which commences each weekend Friday – Sunday, so those that are still working can jump in and compete. This was WAY COOL. They introduced a new sniper rifle, a new melee weapon called Kali Sticks (see Rambo movie where he begins in Thailand).

I’m watching the third part of a three-part series on Curiosity Stream. It is called Secret Societies. Watching this show, prompted me to find a cool video I posted on Tuesday about the Illuminati. Anyway, the third part is about conspiracy theories. They disbanded the “Jesus married to Mary” theory, and just began looking at the conspiracy theory spurred by HItler during the 1930s to focus public opinion on something other than the outrageous inflation rates, unemployment, and everything else Germany was going through at the time. It’s a great documentary so far.

Well, that’s it for now, folks!

I hope you have a great Thursday!

Until next time…

We started watching Better Call Saul this week. It is interesting because you get to revisit characters that fall along Saul’s character arc. It has a Breaking Bad feel, but is definitely a unique experience. We’ve only watched the first episode. We got distracted and caught some movies on Disney +. We watched Zhong – Zi (I don’t know if I spelled this right), a martial arts character in the Marvel Universe. We also watched Captain Marvel. That movie never disappoints. We’ll pick up Better Call Saul again, after my sister gets through all of her 50th birthday festivities.

Bay City Blast is the next book in the Remo Williams series. It is another terrific story. Again, no spoilers. You’ll have to spend the 2.99 to get the Kindle version.

Call of Duty started a new season with a desert feel. There will be a mission sometime in the next day or so with an Egyptian Tomb. I can’t wait. There have been a few challenges, and I am currently focusing on the Sniper Rifles. Speaking of weapons, this season introduced a new sniper rifle and a new melee weapon – Kali Sticks! I’ve got them to diamond camo so I am now back to the shovel and built a class with the baseball bat melee weapon.

Well, that’s it for this week, folks. I hope you have a great Thursday!

Until next time…
