Well, folks, my sister and I finished The Sopranos yesterday. Wow, what a great show. We started re-watching Season 4 of Ozark to get ready for the second part, which starts tomorrow on Netflix. We can’t wait!!

I’m reading yet another Remo Williams Book in The Destroyer Series. The title is Bottom Line. Again, a great series of stories which never disappoint.

In the gaming realm, Season 4: Wild Dogs started today in Call of Duty Mobile, They have introduced some new challenges, the melee weapon Kali Sticks, and a whole host of new characters including a new skin for the Ghost player. There’s also a new map dropping called Satellite. It’s going to be great fun! I completed one of the new challenges yesterday.

My sister and I often talk about things while we hang out watching TV. One of the things I suggested was a hobby. Everyone needs a hobby. Something to look forward to after work or chores, or whatever you do that you consider work. I look forward to my game time after I’ve finished my tasks for the day. Painting, crafting, hiking, or whatever just wakes you up each day is something to consider. We all need balance in our lives. Hobbies are a terrific way to pass the time and enjoy life.

Well, that’s all I got for today. If you haven’t watched Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, or Ozark, I highly recommend all of them. They are terrific! If you’re into mobile gaming, give Call of Duty a whirl, it is an awesome game and the creativity these guys bring to the table is unbelievable. I have never been disappointed.

Well, that’s it for now. Have a great Thursday everybody!

Until next time…

I qualified for the second stage of the CODM World Championship. It’s really cool that they open these tournaments up to anyone. I’m currently at the Master Stage, leaving only Grandmaster and Legendary left to accomplish. There were also 8 challenges this season. Those were great fun and dropped some mean loot.

I’m reading a new Remo Williams book called Bottom Line. It is yet another story where Remo and Chiun are saving the U.S. from some horrible threat. As you can tell, I really enjoy these books!

My sister and I are in season 6 of The Sopranos, the final season. Since we just discovered that the new Ozark season is starting soon, we are putting off Game of Thrones and will watch that one next. No spoilers, folks, but The Sopranos has been an awesome ride!

Well, that’s it folks! I hope you have a great Thursday!

Until next time…

Call of Duty Mobile, Power Play, Remo Williams, Season 2, The Destroyer Series, The Sopranos, World Championships 2022

My sister are in Season 2 of The Sopranos. Wow! What a show! I don’t like giving away any of the story because some of you may be interested in watching it at some point. All I can say is it is about the Mafia in New Jersey. So many twists and turns.

The book I’m reading is called Power Play. It’s the next book in The Destroyer series I am reading. If you enjoy action, comedy, and martial arts, you’ll enjoy these stories. Each book is about a 2 1/2 hour read, but I tend to stretch them out for a week, since I try to stick with one chapter a day. Anyway, that’s it for my reading.

Call of Duty Mobile ceases to amaze me. We are in Season 2 of the year, and there are new weapons (MAC-10, JAK-12), new characters, and even some new game play. One of the games is called rapid fire. It is set up so you can have infinite ammo, your scorestreaks are easier to earn, and it is absolute mayhem! There was a challenge that I completed yesterday. It was terrific! They have also reopened Alcatraz as one of the Battle Royal maps. That is a blast too! I have not started the challenge for that one yet, but will be starting up with that this weekend or tomorrow. I haven’t decided yet. I’m still working on diamond camo for my weapons, and that is really fun. I’m currently working on the grenade launcher, a sniper rifle, assault rifle, tactical rifle, and a submachine gun. I am also working on diamond camo for the Katana.

Well, that’s my week so far. I hope all of you are enjoying your week.

Until next time…

Birthday, Call of Duty Mobile, Dad, Dementia, Hard Hat, House of Cards, Voodoo Die, Zombies

Hello, all! It’s another edition of Hobbies, Games, and Movies!

My sister and I are almost at the end of The House of Cards. We are in Season 5. Both of us were not fans of Season 6, so we’ll be ending this series when we’ve finished Season 5. There are a few options for our next show. I think we’re going to start Breaking Bad.

I’m reading book 33 of the The Destroyer series. It’s called Voodoo Die. Like the other books in this series, it is filled with action, comedy, and suspense. I won’t give any spoilers, but if you like a fast-paced story, these books do not disappoint.

Call of Duty Mobile, Season 2 kicked off last week. It’s been a great season so far. A new shotgun, new submachine gun, and light machine gun were introduced. It also has Zombies in the game, as well as a new Battle Royale. I’m currently working on Diamond camouflage for multiple weapons. One terrific edition is a new map, called Hard Hat. It is a construction site, with some very interesting characteristics.

Today, is my Dad’s birthday. He is 83. As I have mentioned in previous postings, he is suffering from Dementia. He was lucid today and got all of his birthday cards. I’m glad he’s still around. Here’s to another year with Dad!

Well, that’s it for today, folks. I hope you have a great Thursday!

Until next time…

Call of Duty Mobile, Destroyer Series, House of Cards, Mugger Blood, Netflix, Task Force 141, Thursday

Happy Thursday!

This week, my sister and I started rewatching House of Cards on Netflix. Wow! What a great show! If you haven’t seen this one yet, I highly recommend it. I’d skip season 6, but seasons 1-5 are epic.

Season 2 for Call of Duty Mobile came out yesterday. I’m so excited! The season title is Task Force 141. This means new comics, new challenges, new weapons, and all the rest. I finally golded out two launchers last week. The third launcher I am working on now, it is an anti-aircraft missile launcher. I’m almost done with that one.

I’m reading Mugger Blood in The Destroyer series and it is terrific. When I read over some of the comments on Amazon or Goodreads, there is always someone who has something bad to say. More interesting is that it appears that the same person keeps making the bad comments. Why continue to read a series of books if you do not like it? I made a decision a few years back about this. If I am reading a book or a series of books and lose interest in the story, I stop reading the book. Why drag through something unless you have to for school or something. Anyway, if you don’t like a story anymore or the author lost you, dump the book and read something else. It is so much easier reading a book you enjoy then one you just can’t get into.

Well, that’s it for this week’s edition of Hobbies, Games and Movies. See you all tomorrow.

Until next time…

Daily Ramblings – Funny Friday/Hobbies, Games, and Movies – Inventing Anna

Amazon Prime, Call of Duty Mobile, Chris Rock, Comedians, Friday, Funny, Inventing Anna, Kevin Hart, Netflix, Reacher, Winter Storm

Well, folks, I missed posting yesterday, so today, I’ll be combining Funny Friday with Hobbies, Games and Movies. My sister and I just finished two series–Inventing Anna (Netflix) and Reacher (Amazon Prime). Inventing Anna was awesome. We both loved it. Reacher was good, but still didn’t do a great job capturing the character Jack Reacher in Lee Child’s Novels. They tried, but just missed the mark in my opinion. Great shows to watch though.

I am currently working on camouflage for all the launchers in Call of Duty Mobile, and beginning to work on Diamond Camo on a Machine Gun (PKM), Submachine Gun (PPSH-1), and the Sniper (Rytek AMR) with their appropriate loadouts. The launcher I am currently working on is the Thumper (M79 Grenade Launcher).

I played a marathon game on Wednesday-Thursday to finish up the last of the pistol class called the Shotty. It’s a little two-barrel mini-shotgun. That was a toughy. Anyway, that’s done and I’m off doing the rest. There’s a new challenge called Closing Time. It is a combination of ranked matches, battle royal matches, and some other stuff. I love these challenges. They are a lot of fun to complete. Well, I hope everyone had a great week.

I’m reading Ship of Death in the Remo Williams Destroyer Series. It is also a great read.

Here’s a short video with some great comedians. Kevin Hart is one of my favorites. I also enjoy Bill Burr, Dave Chappelle, and Chris Rock. Chris is also in the video. I hope you enjoy it. Have a great Friday, enjoy your weekend, and for those of you impacted by the recent crazy weather, hope you are safe and warm.

Until next time…

Call of Duty Mobile, Challenges, Fun, Games, Hobbies, Movies, The Heist, Thursday, WWII series

My sister and I are still watching the WWII series I discussed last week. It is approaching its end, as we are now after the D-Day invasion, and the battle of Minsk on the Eastern Front. The Americans in the Pacific are launching attacks into the Mariana islands. It is a great series.

Call of Duty started its new season called The Heist. There will be new characters, new weapons, and new challenges. I was so excited to start playing yesterday! Currently I am grinding through shotguns to get them all gold. After these, I have the marksman rifles and sniper weapons to work on. I began getting more efficient and worked on gold camouflage for all of my melee weapons as well. I am currently working on the baseball bat melee weapon.

I haven’t watched any movies since our last chat, but there are a few that I am interested in. I’ll keep you posted on what my sister and I watch.

Well, that’s it for the week. I hope all of you have a great rest of the week.

Until next time…

Daily Ramblings – Hobbies, Games, and Movies – WW2 and Call of Duty Mobile

Call of Duty, Call of Duty Mobile, Entertainment, Excitement, Far Cry 6, Fun, WWII

This week we are continuing our viewing of all things WWII. There are ton of documentaries on Amazon, YouTube, and Netflix. Right now we are watching WW2 – The Call of Duty – A complete Timeline. It is on Amazon Prime. Each episode is about 45 minutes and it is terrific.

I’m still plugging away at Far Cry 6 and Call of Duty Mobile. Call of Duty Mobile, like it’s counterpart, Call of Duty for the Xbox, has a system of earning camouflage for each weapon. The goal is to get all weapons to gold camouflage. To get gold, so many kills, hip shot kills, head shot kills, long shot kills are tabulated. Once all of the camouflage challenges are completed the gold camouflage is unlocked. I enjoy the challenges and daily tasks associated with this game. Each provides an award and a sense of accomplishment.

Far Cry 6 has been on the back burner for a bit, but I’ll get back on that this weekend. Surprisingly, I have not played Call of Duty on my Xbox since it came out. Mobile has kept me too busy. There is also my Dad to consider. He is now at the point where he can’t be left alone. So, I play my game on my iPad, while Mom is out and about. I also have a lot of things on my plate currently that must be tackled during the day.

Well, that’s it for this week’s installment.

Until next time…

Call of Duty Mobile, Far Cry 6, Games, Hobbies, Ken Burns, Movies, The Pacific, The War, World at War

Now that I’m retired, I tend to have a great deal of hobbies. My hobbies are video games and watching documentaries. Every once in a while I catch a good movie, but documentaries are my thing. This year, I’m going to use Thursdays to share what I’m playing, what I’m watching, and give you my thoughts on all.

Gaming is my passion. Currently I’m playing a lot of Call of Duty – Mobile. I also played a different genre of game, called Far Cry 6. These are both terrific games. Call of Duty is season-based, with each new season introducing new characters, new stories and plots, and tons of different types of mobile fighting from team deathmatch, frontline, control, seek and destroy, and the ever-famous battle royals, which are a lot of fun to play as well.

Far Cry 6 is a game about a dictator who is using his people as slaves to produce a cancer fighting wonder drug. The problem–one of the ingredients used to create the drug is killing the very people that are kidnapped and forced to work the fields the drug is grown. You are a guerilla who helps overthrow this government.

I’ve played numerous versions of Far Cry, starting at Far Cry 1, and in Far Cry 6 there is a twist. After you beat the game (I won’t spoil it), there are insurgencies that crop up each week. You have to beat down each insurgency as they arise by completing different types of missions. It’s a great idea and one that keeps the game fresh for a long time, without making any new purchases. How novel, right?

Documentaries I am watching are all about WWII. I finished Ken Burn’s The War, and now watching A World at War on YouTube. The War will run you about $20 U.S., but worth the money. Ken Burns picked four American towns and highlighted the WWII veterans that lived there, telling the unique stories each had to tell. Many of the veterans are now dead, but at the time it was made, they were all alive and told their stories during the show.

What’s next? I plan on purchasing a series called the Pacific. It is a drama, but highlights one of the characters in Ken Burn’s documentary, Eugene Sledge, who picked up the nickname of sledgehammer while he served in the Marine Corps. It has a great collection of actors and Tom Hanks was involved in the making of the film. He does a great job with these types of films.

To give you a taste of one of the games I play, here is the trailer from YouTube for Far Cry 6. It is a terrific game!

If you’re a gamer, try this one out. It’s a winner in my opinion!

Until next time…

Dave
