Well, the Stage 4 regional championships are over and now we wait until Stage 5. Boy is that going to be a show.

Today, I’d like to talk about weapon camouflage. I don’t know if you’re like me, but I love getting weapons to diamond. Are you done there? No. You can still Master your weapon and then get ranked worldwide.

So, how do you get camouflage on your weapons? It’s quite simple. You have categories of camouflage that pertain to different types of kills. You can find out what that weapon camouflage requires by clicking on the camouflage you are working on. The initial camouflage is earned by number of kills. You’ll also have categories like hip shooting, shooting while kneeling, double kills, triple kills, and getting kills without any attachments. You have to get Gold, before you can work on Diamond. To get Gold, you have to complete all the basic camouflages described above.

Getting diamond camouflage requires getting through so many games with 10 kills each game. Look at your weapon’s diamond camouflage to find specifics, but the numbers depend on the type of weapon. Shotguns and submachine guns require 120 games x 10 kills per game. Snipers are the same. Your launchers each have a unique one, so be sure to check out the diamond camouflage before working on it. Assault rifles require the most–150 games x 10 kills.

The best way to work toward diamond is securing yourself a character that has a weapon counter on their wrist. I run with Mace, but there are a few legendary characters you can purchase. To my knowledge, you can only secure a legendary character by paying for it. If you can’t afford that, you’ll have to keep a running count in your head.

What game type should you play? If you’re really good, you could work on diamond camouflage playing any of the game types (team deathmatch, frontline, control, or hardpoint). There are many others, but I’d stick with the core games when your grinding camo. For me, my go to is hardpoint. It is the longest of all the games and makes it easier to get your 10 kills. This is critical, particularly when you are grinding camo for your launchers. They are tough to get 10 kills in any other mode.

Mastering your weapon will allow you to give your weapon a name. You can only Master a weapon when you have achieved Diamond and you can only go above diamond rating when you play ranked multiplayer or battle royale. I stick with multiplayer, because you control which weapon you play with. In Battle Royale, you are rolling the dice because you have to gather your weapons on the battlefield.

There are other camouflages that you can earn in tournaments, which started two or three seasons ago. There are also camouflages that you get when you gold out every weapon in a series. Platinum I believe is when you get 5 weapons in a class completed. Damascus camouflage comes when you’ve hit gold on every weapon in a class. I’ve hit diamond on every weapon in every class, other than assault rifles. That one I’m still working on.

Well, I hope this has been helpful. Have a great weekend, folks!

Happy Gaming!

Call of Duty Mobile, CODM, Hardpoint, North America, Search and Destroy, Stage 4, Tribe, World Championships

Today, folks, I’m watching the CODM World Championships. We’re in Stage 4 and North America is the region. Tribe is expected to be one of the top teams and they are playing really well. I don’t have a lot else to say today, because I’m really enjoying these championships. If you’d like to check them out, here’s the link on YouTube for live streaming. You can also watch it later if your schedule doesn’t work for this.

If you are a CODM fan like me, watching these top players gives me a lot of great ideas and insights, particularly how to play different maps and games. The key games they are using are: Search and Destroy, Hardpoint, and Control. I was surprised they did not have Team Deathmatch in them.

Have a great weekend, folks!

I’m still reading Dark Time. It is getting really good. America boarded the alien ship and found some surprising information, particularly with the aliens, which are literally walking squids. Anyway, that’s what’s going on in the book.

I’m continuing to watch the West Wing. I’m rewatching season 3. My sister couldn’t be here the last few weeks, so I’m waiting to get season 4 until she is back here to watch with me. One thing I will mention that I am also watching is the Call of Duty Mobile Championships. We are in stage 4 and Japan and Europe are both finalizing the team(s) that will represent them at stage 5 where the entire globe competes for the number one spot. Last weekend was India and Latin America. It was great watching these players. Wow, are they good.

I had to put MS Excel on hold to brush up on PowerPoint. I have a presentation that will be recorded and I don’t know how to do it. I’ll finish the course tomorrow and be up to snuff at that point. Then I can finalize my presentation and get it into the gal who will be running it in my absence at a retreat. The reason I passed on going is we are still seeing COVID numbers spike and with my folks’ condition, it is impossible for me to get out. So, learn PowerPoint is what I’m doing. If you are looking to brush up on any of the MS office products, you’ll love the instructor that runs these courses. Here’s his YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbCHkRl8AGEVmdF369Er7VQ He is terrific!

Well, folks. I’m still clearing out the cobwebs from taking some time off. It was a great week with my brother. We got good news yesterday. My brother and nephew (his son) are coming back in the first week of September for Mom’s birthday. It’ll be terrific!

Have a great Thursday!

Until next time…

Book 6, Call of Duty Mobile, Deep Time, Diablo Immortal, FPS, Ian Douglas, RPG, Star Carrier, The West Wing, Udemy

Believe it or not, I found another game to play. It’s called Diablo Immortal. It is a mobile RPG game produced by Blizzard. Wow, what a game. The stories are so detailed and the world is really immersive. What is really cool, is that you have other players who you can see that are all logged in and doing their thing. Call of Duty is still my favorite First Person Shooter (FPS), but Diablo Immortal is great fun! Another game I highly recommend if you are looking for a good one to play and keep you busy for a while.

I finished book 5 of the Star Carrier series and will start book 6 today. It has been a great series for sure.

My sister and I are still watching The West Wing. I also finished the history of Quantum Physics and need to find another documentary to start watching today.

My EXCEL course just covered some more conditionals like the many IF functions in EXCEL. It is great learning all this stuff. I use EXCEL quite a bit and this course will prove to be helpful for years to come.

Well, that’s it for now. Have a great Thursday, folks!

Until next time…

Well, folks, my sister and I finished The Sopranos yesterday. Wow, what a great show. We started re-watching Season 4 of Ozark to get ready for the second part, which starts tomorrow on Netflix. We can’t wait!!

I’m reading yet another Remo Williams Book in The Destroyer Series. The title is Bottom Line. Again, a great series of stories which never disappoint.

In the gaming realm, Season 4: Wild Dogs started today in Call of Duty Mobile, They have introduced some new challenges, the melee weapon Kali Sticks, and a whole host of new characters including a new skin for the Ghost player. There’s also a new map dropping called Satellite. It’s going to be great fun! I completed one of the new challenges yesterday.

My sister and I often talk about things while we hang out watching TV. One of the things I suggested was a hobby. Everyone needs a hobby. Something to look forward to after work or chores, or whatever you do that you consider work. I look forward to my game time after I’ve finished my tasks for the day. Painting, crafting, hiking, or whatever just wakes you up each day is something to consider. We all need balance in our lives. Hobbies are a terrific way to pass the time and enjoy life.

Well, that’s all I got for today. If you haven’t watched Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, or Ozark, I highly recommend all of them. They are terrific! If you’re into mobile gaming, give Call of Duty a whirl, it is an awesome game and the creativity these guys bring to the table is unbelievable. I have never been disappointed.

Well, that’s it for now. Have a great Thursday everybody!

Until next time…

I qualified for the second stage of the CODM World Championship. It’s really cool that they open these tournaments up to anyone. I’m currently at the Master Stage, leaving only Grandmaster and Legendary left to accomplish. There were also 8 challenges this season. Those were great fun and dropped some mean loot.

I’m reading a new Remo Williams book called Bottom Line. It is yet another story where Remo and Chiun are saving the U.S. from some horrible threat. As you can tell, I really enjoy these books!

My sister and I are in season 6 of The Sopranos, the final season. Since we just discovered that the new Ozark season is starting soon, we are putting off Game of Thrones and will watch that one next. No spoilers, folks, but The Sopranos has been an awesome ride!

Well, that’s it folks! I hope you have a great Thursday!

Until next time…

Call of Duty Mobile, Power Play, Remo Williams, Season 2, The Destroyer Series, The Sopranos, World Championships 2022

My sister are in Season 2 of The Sopranos. Wow! What a show! I don’t like giving away any of the story because some of you may be interested in watching it at some point. All I can say is it is about the Mafia in New Jersey. So many twists and turns.

The book I’m reading is called Power Play. It’s the next book in The Destroyer series I am reading. If you enjoy action, comedy, and martial arts, you’ll enjoy these stories. Each book is about a 2 1/2 hour read, but I tend to stretch them out for a week, since I try to stick with one chapter a day. Anyway, that’s it for my reading.

Call of Duty Mobile ceases to amaze me. We are in Season 2 of the year, and there are new weapons (MAC-10, JAK-12), new characters, and even some new game play. One of the games is called rapid fire. It is set up so you can have infinite ammo, your scorestreaks are easier to earn, and it is absolute mayhem! There was a challenge that I completed yesterday. It was terrific! They have also reopened Alcatraz as one of the Battle Royal maps. That is a blast too! I have not started the challenge for that one yet, but will be starting up with that this weekend or tomorrow. I haven’t decided yet. I’m still working on diamond camo for my weapons, and that is really fun. I’m currently working on the grenade launcher, a sniper rifle, assault rifle, tactical rifle, and a submachine gun. I am also working on diamond camo for the Katana.

Well, that’s my week so far. I hope all of you are enjoying your week.

Until next time…

Birthday, Call of Duty Mobile, Dad, Dementia, Hard Hat, House of Cards, Voodoo Die, Zombies

Hello, all! It’s another edition of Hobbies, Games, and Movies!

My sister and I are almost at the end of The House of Cards. We are in Season 5. Both of us were not fans of Season 6, so we’ll be ending this series when we’ve finished Season 5. There are a few options for our next show. I think we’re going to start Breaking Bad.

I’m reading book 33 of the The Destroyer series. It’s called Voodoo Die. Like the other books in this series, it is filled with action, comedy, and suspense. I won’t give any spoilers, but if you like a fast-paced story, these books do not disappoint.

Call of Duty Mobile, Season 2 kicked off last week. It’s been a great season so far. A new shotgun, new submachine gun, and light machine gun were introduced. It also has Zombies in the game, as well as a new Battle Royale. I’m currently working on Diamond camouflage for multiple weapons. One terrific edition is a new map, called Hard Hat. It is a construction site, with some very interesting characteristics.

Today, is my Dad’s birthday. He is 83. As I have mentioned in previous postings, he is suffering from Dementia. He was lucid today and got all of his birthday cards. I’m glad he’s still around. Here’s to another year with Dad!

Well, that’s it for today, folks. I hope you have a great Thursday!

Until next time…

Call of Duty Mobile, Destroyer Series, House of Cards, Mugger Blood, Netflix, Task Force 141, Thursday

Happy Thursday!

This week, my sister and I started rewatching House of Cards on Netflix. Wow! What a great show! If you haven’t seen this one yet, I highly recommend it. I’d skip season 6, but seasons 1-5 are epic.

Season 2 for Call of Duty Mobile came out yesterday. I’m so excited! The season title is Task Force 141. This means new comics, new challenges, new weapons, and all the rest. I finally golded out two launchers last week. The third launcher I am working on now, it is an anti-aircraft missile launcher. I’m almost done with that one.

I’m reading Mugger Blood in The Destroyer series and it is terrific. When I read over some of the comments on Amazon or Goodreads, there is always someone who has something bad to say. More interesting is that it appears that the same person keeps making the bad comments. Why continue to read a series of books if you do not like it? I made a decision a few years back about this. If I am reading a book or a series of books and lose interest in the story, I stop reading the book. Why drag through something unless you have to for school or something. Anyway, if you don’t like a story anymore or the author lost you, dump the book and read something else. It is so much easier reading a book you enjoy then one you just can’t get into.

Well, that’s it for this week’s edition of Hobbies, Games and Movies. See you all tomorrow.

Until next time…

Daily Ramblings – Funny Friday/Hobbies, Games, and Movies – Inventing Anna

Amazon Prime, Call of Duty Mobile, Chris Rock, Comedians, Friday, Funny, Inventing Anna, Kevin Hart, Netflix, Reacher, Winter Storm

Well, folks, I missed posting yesterday, so today, I’ll be combining Funny Friday with Hobbies, Games and Movies. My sister and I just finished two series–Inventing Anna (Netflix) and Reacher (Amazon Prime). Inventing Anna was awesome. We both loved it. Reacher was good, but still didn’t do a great job capturing the character Jack Reacher in Lee Child’s Novels. They tried, but just missed the mark in my opinion. Great shows to watch though.

I am currently working on camouflage for all the launchers in Call of Duty Mobile, and beginning to work on Diamond Camo on a Machine Gun (PKM), Submachine Gun (PPSH-1), and the Sniper (Rytek AMR) with their appropriate loadouts. The launcher I am currently working on is the Thumper (M79 Grenade Launcher).

I played a marathon game on Wednesday-Thursday to finish up the last of the pistol class called the Shotty. It’s a little two-barrel mini-shotgun. That was a toughy. Anyway, that’s done and I’m off doing the rest. There’s a new challenge called Closing Time. It is a combination of ranked matches, battle royal matches, and some other stuff. I love these challenges. They are a lot of fun to complete. Well, I hope everyone had a great week.

I’m reading Ship of Death in the Remo Williams Destroyer Series. It is also a great read.

Here’s a short video with some great comedians. Kevin Hart is one of my favorites. I also enjoy Bill Burr, Dave Chappelle, and Chris Rock. Chris is also in the video. I hope you enjoy it. Have a great Friday, enjoy your weekend, and for those of you impacted by the recent crazy weather, hope you are safe and warm.

Until next time…

Dave
