For many of us in the northern parts of the United States, we are all used to living with the cold and the cold. I enjoy the cold months because it makes coffee taste better, I sleep better, and I get to do a lot of reading and my other favorite activities.
I hope you enjoy this video. It is terrific. It’s a little long, so if you can’t watch the whole thing, I get it. For those of you who do get to know this family, they are adorable.
Happy Tuesday, folks!
Until next time…
Dave
Wow. What a life! I have often wondered how humans — and many other forms of life — survived the ice ages here in North America (125,000 to 14,500 years ago). This video gives many clues…

One of the things I noticed is the lack of cell phones and other technology. Life is very simple for this family, and it appears that they are very close and organized. I also enjoyed learning about the metal work the husband did. Fascinating.

Oh my goodness I already saw this awesome video – it showed up in my YouTube algorithm (I tell you many times YT gets it right and recommends pretty decent video). Makes me not want to complain about the current frigid Denver temperatures, ha!

Isn’t that great! There life is so simple, but so nice and cozy. Did you notice any cellphones? Boy, just a simple life and what appears to be a close-knit family.

Very interesting video! I rarely think of people living like this in today’s world. The layers of clothing remind me that when I was five, we lived on a military base in Newfoundland. Back then, girls still wore dressed to school, but we also wore thick, padded leggings for waiting for the bus and the bus ride to school. I love the mountains and snow in the western part of NC but wonder if I could live there year-round.

Wow, Newfoundland! That’s awesome. I went through winter warfare school back in the 90s in Northern Italy. It got really cold at nighttime, but you know, we had the gear to keep us warm. Over time, your body adapts, just like it does to many things.
