Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.
Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

I didn’t realize I was that much older than you, Dave! I was probably in second grade when JFK was assassinated. We lived on base at Camp Pendleton, CA. My older sister wrote a poem about his assassination, and I read it to my class.. I remember the feelings of sadness and grief around me even though I didn’t quite understand the significance. Thank you for the excellent and timely quotes!
