Stop setting goals. Goals are pure fantasy unless you have a specific plan to achieve them.
Your most important work is always ahead of you, never behind you.
Live out of your imagination, not your history.
Every human has four endowments – self awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom… The power to choose, to respond, to change.
Life is not accumulation, it is about contribution.
Happy Hump Day!
Until next time…

Awesome! Do you like quotes from the same author or a mix? I’ve been using the same author for a few weeks and would like your opinion on which is better.

Either way is fine, but I do kind of like all the quotes from the same author. It gives the reader, even if it’s just a tiny bit, a sense of that person – and/or gives some context to the quotes, such as the case with Abraham Lincoln. Thanks for asking!

Thank you so much! I feel the same way. That’s why I wanted to give it a try. This way, I can show people why I like Covey, Lincoln, and others. Great feedback!!

As we learn to focus more on contribution than accumulation, our world will become more enriched, more livable.

You bet. It’s about balance. I’m of the minimalist persuasion. I like being mobile and traveling “light”. It’s so freeing to not own a whole bunch of crap that you have to lug around with you everywhere.

I inherited the tendency to save things as well as actual possessions from my parents. Our family challenges are yard sales and thrift stores. (“Its for a good cause!”) Been working to let go, donate, etc. since my parents passed away. It’s an ongoing process.

Of course. Sentimental things are a different story. Family heirlooms, collections, you can’t get rid of those until you’re ready, which might be forever.
