This week has been a good one so far. I enrolled in two courses (Mindshift and Mini-Habits), continuing my workout routine and diet, and focusing on knocking off a book or two from my list. This week I’m focused on the Spiritual Exercises of ECK and The Thirty Year’s War. Both are terrific books!
I’ve also been doing a lot of reading online, particularly some articles that have been recommended in Pocket (the app). I like to focus on my self-improvement along the lines of character development. To do this I use a simple exercise called the 15x exercise. This exercise requires the writing down of a statement starting with “I am” 15 times. My focus now is on compassion, discipline, and patience. So, the statement I hand write is: I am compassionate, disciplined, and patient. I’ll keep you apprised of my progress.
I haven’t been doing a lot of Netflix watching, but do catch a few episodes of Netflix. I really want to accomplish my goal of 36 books this year. I have not set a number for the courses I will take, but once I am done with them this year, I’ll take a tally and make a goal of so many courses for next year. For now, the pace of courses is leisurely because I have so many other things on the table (workouts, writing, blogging, and reading).
I hope everyone is having a great week!!!
