Today’s Quote:
“Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why it is called the present.” – Alice Morse Earle
What wisdom right?
So many of us get wrapped up into what happened yesterday or worry about some unknown in the future, ignoring the fact that none of that has any impact unless we let it impact us. The only way to benefit from yesterday and have an effect on tomorrow is by being present. Do your best today. Focus on what you want today. Stay on task right now! If you do, you’ll find your tomorrow’s are better, your yesterday’s are great teachers, and the only control you have is your attitude about what is occurring right now.
Here’s a trite quote: “Stop and smell the roses.” Take your time, enjoy every bite of your meal, enjoy every moment with your loved one, enjoy every moment of peace when you just sit and relax.
I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!
See you tomorrow…

Dave,
This was a good post and you are correct in saying we do rush through life sometimes and never really honestly enjoy it, we have to rush rush rush all the time to the next destination even if it leads nowhere. I have to remember to slow down at times, myself because one going too fast can give me anxiety and overwhelm me and secondly because I don’t like missing out on the fun things life has to offer.

Shay-lon! Thanks for visiting! Yep. I’ve been there and it’s a hard habit to break, particularly when you’re juggling multiple hats. The one thing that made it easier was meditation. I’ve been doing that for a good many years and it just trains you to s l o w down. You still get all of the things done that you need to, but in a more organized, calm, and relaxed way. Thanks again for stopping by! – Dave

I have been following a blog that focuses on meditation and I did meditation twice and stopped but I do want to start it over again because I have only read and heard good things about it, thanks for sharing that tidbit.

The easiest way to start is to use either one of these apps: Headspace or Calm – both in the Itunes Store or the Play Store. I’m using Headspace now and it is terrific.
